There is a lot of misconception of the term yoga in the western society. In its true essence yoga is not about the shape or your body physic and neither a true yogi is one who can only perform all the asanas with ease. Instead yoga is more about the shape of your overall life. Yoga is just not to be performed rather something that is to be lived every moment. When I say ‘moment’ it also means yoga doesn’t care about your past, it cares about the person you are creating this moment for future. Yoga has a higher purpose in life one that is profound and that which we were designed to become. Unless its true essence is embodied one has failed miserably. The ultimate goal of Yoga is moksha (liberation), though the exact definition of what form this takes depends on the philosophical or theological system with which it is conjugated. The self awareness in yoga is more important which is achieved through mind body and soul connection. All yoga leads to the top most yoga called the Bhakti yoga. Bhakti yoga is a spiritual path or spiritual practice within Hinduism focused on the cultivation of love and devotion toward God
Truth is only revealed to a human who is realised and when one is fully realised he or she sees the world as one and no different to himself or herself.
